The Useless Information File is the news, culture, and counter culture website that is for information that usually doesn't get widespread coverage or strikes people as interesting.

The name comes from three diffrent sources. The first is the fact that much of this information doesn't get popular coverage as say some celeberty breaking up/marrying/imprgnating/making lewd comments at/having sex with another celeberty. Secondly is the common reference to a person who often pulls out vague, rare, and interesting facts and stories from memory is said to have a "Useless Information File". Finally, it is an oxymoron as there is no such thing as useless information... every piece of information is useful.
